About Q Built Homes
Q Built Homes is carving into the niche segment of new home construction that are durable, energy efficient, sustainable, and well thought out. Hopefully, we inspire other builders to adopt our approach, and that clients see and appreciate the value that we put into the homes we build.
Our Principles
For every project, we will be guided by the following principles. In site selection, when designing the structure, while picking finishes, and for all the other numerous decisions that must be made, these principles help keep us on course.

Advance & Thorough Planning
Unanticipated problems and unpleasant change orders seem inevitable at times, but with some careful, upfront planning many can be avoided. Our aim is to know as much as possible and have as many decisions made prior to breaking ground.

Build to Last
Natural disasters have taken a toll the built environment. Our construction techniques and the products we select result in some of the most durable houses. We also continuously evaluate new methods and materials.
Build for Sustainability
We believe that houses should be more self-reliant, and that energy should be more decentralized. All energy needs should be generated on site and backed up with storage, To help with this, homes should use the least amount of energy to begin with.

Strive for Simplicity & Low Maintenance
Homes should not be a constant burden of maintenance on its occupants. Favor will be placed on more durable products. The number of individual systems will be reduced. Overly complicated designs will be streamlined.

Future Proof
Obsolecence is mostly unavoidable but perhaps can be postponed. Anticipated code changes can be incorporated now. Designate flexible spaces. A home office can convert to a bedroom. Integrate aging in place criteria.

Phase a Project When Needed
Affordability is a concern that has only increased as of late. To help address this, certain portions or finishes of a project may intentionally be planned for completion at a later date when funds become available. A finished basement or a coffered ceiling are perhaps good examples.
